Stax electrostatic headphones.

I am considering getting some Stax electrostatic headphones, but they are very expensive. Any of you have experience with these?

Permalink Reply by Jim Milton on November 3, 2009 at 5:14am: I read rave reviews on them several years ago. One person said they were the best phones he has ever heard...period! Extremely open and detailed. With some well recorded jazz SACD, your wife may never see you again...so beware.

You'll have to make sure the amp matches what you're looking for, because STAX cans have a very distinctive sound (including between the different models) and electrostatic amps are few and quite varied.; ▶ Reply to This
