Tell us about your Home Theater: My theater is an unused bedroom. It is completely light-tight and acousticaly sealed when the door is closed. There are two seats. The floor is covered with rock-board, plywood and carpet. I made my own absorption panels from mineral wool and burlap. The room is so quiet I can hear the buzz of the LCD on my wristwatch when I activate the backlight!

Tell us about you....job,hobbies,family,etc.: I have been principal bassoonist of the West Point Band for 22 years. I am also the assistant chief of the Band's Publicity shop and the Band's webmaster. Additionally I am an ISF-trained video calibrator.

Do you prefer MP3 or high definition audio?: Though the vast majority of my music is CD, I prefer the enhanced fidelity of SACD.

My living room does not have specific room treatment but a large throw rug under the furniture and curtains on the windows help a lot. Our upholstered furniture also does a pretty good job of minimizing reflection.
