Tell us about your Home Theater
My theater is an unused bedroom. It is completely light-tight and acousticaly sealed when the door is closed. There are two seats. The floor is covered with rock-board, plywood and carpet. I made my own absorption panels from mineral wool and burlap. The room is so quiet I can hear the buzz of the LCD on my wristwatch when I activate the backlight!

I have been principal bassoonist of the West Point Band for 23 years. I am also an ISF-trained video calibrator.
Do you prefer MP3 or high definition audio?
Though the vast majority of my music is CD, I prefer the enhanced fidelity of SACD.

The kids on the Emo Forum are complaining about the picture quality of the remote. You can't clean it up some for them, can you? I'm sure you could make some $$$ on it if you did....

Chris, great review on the Performas. I was able to purchase the complete Concerta line (minus the dual subs) for less than the price of the F12s alone. If you liked them, but can't afford the Performs series...the Concertas are cut from the same cloth, but at a much more affordable price.

I love 'em!

CEDIA 2012 - Chris Eberle

CEDIA - Final Thoughts, Chris EberleOverall the show was muted compared to years past.  Attendance didn't seem tremendous, there were major vendors missing (LG, Panasonic, Samsung most conspicuously), and there wasn't much in the way of new products save a few 4K displays and projectors. While 4K is significant, it's hard to imagine…See More

"The presence of an HQV processor does not guarantee proper handling of 1080p/24 from DVD.  In fact most displays and players with HQV do not support this feature.  In the Epson 8700UB, you would have to send 1080i from your player so the…"

"So one can expect similar performance out of any HQV implementation? I was wondering if geeting an Epson 8700UB projector or alternatively a barebones HQV video processor would be a good choice in future. Also, any idea on how the Lumagen Radiance…"

CEDIA 2010 Show Report, Coverage by Chris Eberle

CEDIA Show Report - Day 4 and Wrapup - Chris Eberle
