The Affirm Audio speakers were driven by a 50 watt Class A tube integrated. They were putting out SPLs equal to much larger speakers driven by amps with five times that much power.

Tell us about your Home Theater
I have a dedicated home theater that I built in my basement 6 years ago.
Tell us about your Listening Room
I have a dedicated 2-channel listening room in the living room of my home. Current equipment consists of a Musical Fidelity A1008 'integrated' amp, Pioneer Elite DV-59AVi universal plaver and Usher Audio Be 718 speakers.
Tell us about your equipment
My equipment changes regularly (much too often, according to my wife). Currently, my theater consists of a Sony 'Pearl' projector, Da-Lite Cinema Contour screen with CinemaVision surface, Pioneer Elite DV 58 and BDP-05 players, Marantz AV 8003 Processor, Butler Audio TDB 2250 and 5150 amps and Quad 22L2 mains and matching center. I have 2 Velodyne SPL 1200r subs, and B&W in-wall/in-ceiling surrounds for a 7.2 system
Tell us about you....job,hobbies,family,etc.
I'm married with 4 children. The 2 oldest are out in the world making a name for themselves. My oldest daughter is a math teacher at Steamboat Springs High School. My youngest is in elementary school. We have a second home in Leadville, CO at 10,200 feet above sea level. We belong to the highest condo association in North America. We enjoy everything that the Colorado outdoors has to offer.
