"Hmmm.... your comment made me wonder if this could lead to a feedback loop of sorts. Suppose you are having a "bad" day and decide to uplift your mood by listening to your system. Because of this you feel better which then improves your…"

"This is far more complex. While a Studio 16 or 20 bit digital audio recorder theoretically has a lower noise floor than a Studio analog 30IPS reel to reel, some strange things occur at the thresholds of the lower limits. Years ago I experimented by…"

Rana N. Kabir commented on the blog post 'I think I know which component sets the bar for ones system. Am I right?'
"I should add that my comments assumed one has spent considerable time addressing room/acoustical issues as well as carefully voicing the system since without these even the best of components/systems will sound bad."

"I think the Preamp SECTION of your Burson Integrated is responsible for the greater degree of the sound you are hearing. This makes sense especially in the light of the fact that Mark Burson started in this business with his buffer circuits between…"

Tell us about your Home Theater
A dedicated HT designed for Sound first. My extensive collection of software is mostly hi-rez two channel so this is more important. Weakest link in the system is probably the Preamp which sounds decent as long as its in complete Bypass mode. System sound is designed for Speed, Clarity, Coherence & a huge SoundStage.
Tell us about your Listening Room

Room treated with various damping & acoustic treatment (still somewhat overly reverberant for the Magneplanars due to their dipole radiation),... room & system is a work in progress!
