REALLY AFFORDABLE SYSTEMS

Systems that you personally consider affordable. This will obviously depend on your financial situation, but, in general, probably less than $2,000 for Blu-ray player, receiver, speakers, and subwoofer.

While everyone else seems to be going more and moredigital, more Hi rez, more digital downloads, more surround , more, more , more. I took a different route to more. The Mystere ca21 is a no frills tube stereo (stereo?) pre amp. No digital connections, and no remote.I've only had it for a couple of weeks now, but what this does for music is really…See More

I have put a lot of money into wire. Not the uber expensive stuff, but the kind that fits my gear. Speaker cable is Spec7 from Synergistic Research. Power Cords are mostly from Signal Cable and my pre pro is connected to the amp with DHLabs.

Well with CFB starting in 2 weeks, only one thing is blasting through my system, the Texas Tech Fight Song....'Fight Raiders Fight' !!!

Oh, I also mix in the 'Texas Tech Fanfare - Ride Raider Ride' and the 'Matador Song' for a break in the monotony...

Thanks for the welcome. Been a reader of the main site since 2002/2003. Recently the high-end audio/video bug is biting me again. My bank account is starting to get scared.
