I am currently enjoying TITAN A.E. Region 1 DVD on my HT. The DTS 5.1 track is pretty loud, sometimes too loud. It reminds me of the 5.1 mix of another Fox film from three years earlier, Alien Ressurection. Loud, active surrounds, sometimes cluttered. It's nothing to do with DTS, it has to do with the mix. The DTS track is much clearer than the Dolby Digital 5.1 track on the same disc. Such a shame this isn't on Blu-ray yet.

Also, yesterday, I watched JIMMY NEUTRON: BOY GENIUS on the HT, Dolby Digital 5.1 since there was no DTS track. A nostalgic pastime of mine, I was really surprised with the 5.1 mix of this film, especially the first 20 minutes which for some reason make the rest of the film sound dull in comparison. There was one point where I felt it went too far. As Goddard takes Jimmy down from his rooftop, the sound of his ear propellers where panned to the surrounds, which made Goddard sound bigger than he actually was, and it felt unnatural.

I forgot to mention the Ice Rings in TITAN A.E. look and sound amazing and that sequence demonstrates how DTS towers over standard Dolby Digital.
